Enthok Slenget Super Pedas Kang Tanir

Traveling is a must when you visit Yogyakarta. Because this town is very rich with tourism objects and of course FOOD! But unfortunate most of signature foods in Yogyakarta are located at remote areas. I wish I had a car that will help me to reach those places. After searching for it, finally I found my dream car, Toyota Agya! I love every single detail from the exterior, interior, safety, and performance in it! Toyota Agya looks so gorgeous from the exterior, with beautiful and comfortable interior, spacious cabin and baggage, safety, optimal safety for child car seat installation (Oh I do really need this for my future niece, Abigael Shaqila Kurniawan! Aunt loves you!), and of course the performance of the car itself! I am gonna save my money each of the day so I could buy this dream car in the future. I love you, Toyota Agya!

Let's jump to one of signature foods in Yogyakarta. Enthok Slenget Kang Tanir that located at Turi. Kinda far from the town center. It might be around 15 or 20 kilometres if counted. Enthok means muscovy duck, and slenget means the spices that mixed into the curry of muscovy duck.

Oh look at this spices! Can you imagine how spicy it will be?

So this is the cooking process. I cannot wait for it!

Ta daaaa! It almost ready!

So here, there are white steamed rice, cucumber slices, shredded cabbage, and a plate of Enthok Slenget. Oh My God this is heaven! The chopped muscovy duck is very juicy and tender. Spicy, a lil' sweet, and savoury are combined really well. Though this restaurant located really far, the super delicious Enthok Slenget is worth the effort. Rich flavour and tasty pay off the distance that I went through to this place.

I love these cookies very much! It is so crunchy, a lil' bit moist, and I do like the raisins! It sweetens the cookies in a suitable way. Not too sweet, but prefect! Sad truth need to be spoken, it is kinda hard in finding these cookies at Yogyakarta. I visited supermarkets one by one, but found nothing. Thank God, there is still one supermarket selling these cookies!

NutriSari W'dank Bajigur

Bajigur is a signature drink of Indonesia, specifically from West Java. Bajigur is a mixed of coconut milk, coffee, palm sugar, vanilla, salt, granulated sugar, and topped with grated coconut. It is usually served in cold weather or when the temperatures are decreasing.

A glass of hot bajigur is usually sold at street vendors. It is perfect when you drink it accompanied by some Indonesian snacks such as onde-onde, putu, klepon, lupis, and so on. Now, bajigur is available in sachets! Which means that we can drink it anywhere and anytime when we need it! Good news for you who are on diet, NutriSari W'dank Bajigur is less sugar compared to the others! It tastes delicious though it is a less sugar drink!

I feel so lucky when NutriSari produced bajigur. First, traditional drinks rarely found in sachets. We often have to find street vendors first. But now, we can easily make it at home! Directly or not, NutriSari has been contributed in conserving Indonesian tradition. And it is a very good drink to be served when the whole family gathered at home!

Signature Coffee & Grill Jakarta

Signature Coffee and Grill is located at Kemang, a super commercial area and culinary center in Jakarta. Signature is established since November 2013 and consists of 3 floors. The red door with design "red telephone box" typical London is a characteristic of Signature from outside of the café. Good news for coffee lovers! Signature is a very cozy place and unique. Besides selling coffees with premium quality at affordable price, Signature is also providing another delicious menu for the customers! Specifically grilled dishes that are really complete and absolutely yum!

"Good Coffee Makes Good Life" is the motto of Signature. In accordance with their motto, Signature comes for coffee lovers as the best choice with their 100% premium Arabica beans that are originally produced from 7 regions in Indonesia. Such as Aceh Takengon, Bali Kintamani, Flores Bajawa, Java Malabar, Mandailing, Papua Wamena, and Toraja Sapan which each of them has their own characteristic. And yesssshhh! The coffee in here always served in extremely fresh, specially roasted daily in shop.

One of the proofs of the high quality Signature Coffee and Grill can be seen from the extraction technique by using Espresso Mirage "Van Der Westen" machine from Netherlands, as well as brewing manual tools such as Syphon, Hario V60, Clever Chemex, and French Fresh. Cold brew is worth a trying, because the technical presentation of Signature's coffee always shows on the table. The other drinks that are worth trying are Frappe (blended coffee), Milk Shake, Green Tea Latte, Herbal Tea, and Fresh Juice.

Grilled dishes are the second characteristic of Signature, after the coffee. Incredibly unique combination between the coffee and the grilled dish, due both of them actually fit in and taste great! Another uniqueness is located at one of the grilled dishes that named "Grilled Steak with Spicy Rendang". This menu presents due to the boredom of the steak sauce which is very common and nothing else. Signature becomes the first in presenting the Indonesian taste with rendang sauce on the steak menu.

Furthermore, another harmony fusion between coffee and grilled dish presents in the menu "Rubbed Burger", where the taste of coffee will pop out when munching the grilled patty of the burger. Beside the grilled menu, Signature also has variant starter menu, salad, pasta, soup, Indonesian food, and absolutely......the best desserts! My favourite one is the Chocolate Melt Cake, with its delectable melting chocolate. Yum!!!

Signature is under management of Rayyan Global Investama Limited Liability Company and was founded by some young entrepreneurs. They are Muhammad Assad, Edwyn Rahmat, Riefki Murdhanny, Dini Adnan, Didith Noerdiansyah, and Wimbar. Currently, Signature has two branches  that are located at Grand Slipi Tower and Kemang. Sop Kaki Kambing Bang Udin Yogyakarta

So many people are asking me to write more about street foods, including my brother. Well.. I'd like to present you this one. My sister and I really love this street food, it is Sop Kaki Kambing which is located at Cik Ditiro Street Yogyakarta. Sop Kaki Kambing is a characteristic food from Tanah Abang, Jakarta. Not only mutton leg soup which is provided in here, but also bone marrow, tongue, ribeye, lung, ear, and many more!

Sop Kaki Kambing Bang Udin was established since 1996. Firstly, it was established in Jakarta. The owner thought that they had to move to another town. Yup, they made it. They moved to Yogyakarta and made this street food became one of the most favourite street foods in here! Now they have a lot of branches which are located at C. Simanjuntak Street Yogyakarta, Ciputra Land Semarang, and Artos Mall Magelang. There is always crowd and you have to wait to get the seat in here. How to order? You can just tell which dish do you want to order, or pick it up from this big bowls. My favourite is bone marrow soup!

The cook is cutting the mutton that you picked!

Your soup is almost readyyyyyyyy. Can't wait, huh? :D

Finally my bone marrow soup is arrived on my table! Bone marrow, sliced tomatoes, crackers (emping), tasty gravy, and a plate of hot steamed rice. UBER YUM! The price is not fixed, it depends on how many mutton that you picked. This one costs IDR 45K, plus IDR 3K for the steamed rice. Some people thinks that it is sort of pricy for street food. But I think it worth the price due the portion is quite big and delicious!
Meanwhile for the drink, you can order iced or hot orange water and tea. The price of all kinds of drink is equal in IDR 2,5K. Let's jump into the conclusion, I think you guys can guess what I'll say haha. Yup! I fully recommend you to come! You'll be surprised and addicted by how delicious the food is! Moreover, the service is good. The waiters serve really fast and the owner is really friendly. :D

Donat Kentang Ibu Pina Yogyakarta (Potato Doughnut Mrs. Pina Yogyakarta)

Another post about street snack! Potato doughnuts and fried potato bread that have really soft texture and tasty are provided in this stall! You can easily find them at Nusa Indah Street No. 162 Condong Catur, Yogyakarta. That is a super strategic area that closes to 3 universities, such as Economics Department of UII, Stmik Amikom, and UPN. What's that special thing about this street snacks that made by Mrs. Pina? I've ever found the other potato doughnuts, but they were too sweet, hard, and dry. But these potato doughnuts are slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They're very tasty!

There are 3 flavours of potato doughnuts in here, such as potato doughnut sprinkled with refined sugar, topped with chocolate jimmies (sprinkles), and topped with grated cheese. The price is IDR 1K per doughnut that sprinkled with refined sugar. And the price is IDR 1,5K per doughnut that topped with chocolate jimmies (sprinkles) and grated cheese. Furthermore, the fried potato breads are awesome as well! They're crispy on the outside, soft in the inside, with 4 flavours of the filling such as chocolate, chocolate cheese, pineapple, and srikaya. The price is IDR 2,5K per bread. After having a lil' conversation with Mrs. Pina, now I know why they are very delicious. Mrs. Pina only uses good and qualifies ingredients for the doughnut and bread. Firstly, she gives the doughnut or the bread to her children, if they like it, well.. everyone will like it too! This stall is an home industry, not a franchise stall. I got this recommendation from my bestie, Destri. And I recommend to you guys as well! :D
This stall opens daily, started from 12.00 pm until finished or sold out.
